Case Study: Couch Vertical Settings
At one leading clinic, ChartAlert’s automated review of patient treatment data revealed an ongoing discrepancy in couch vertical values between their TrueBeam system and the recorded values in MOSAIQ's treatment history. For example, the vertical on the TrueBeam would read 10.04 after shifts but record as 8.6 in MOSAIQ. The team investigated and discovered that a TrueBeam system setting needed to be adjusted. The problem disappeared — providing the clinical team with peace of mind that couch positions were being recorded correctly.
ChartAlert helped another clinical team recognize that their treatment landmark alignment was deviating out of tolerance. In this case, the couch vertical position was too high, causing three vertical overrides within a couple weeks’ treatments. ChartAlert was able to calculate exactly how much to adjust the couch vertical position in order to eliminate the overrides and more accurately treat landmark sites.
